Question: In an adult psychiatric inpatient population who are agitated how effective is buccal midazolam when compared to intramuscular benzodiazepines or antipsychotics (including IM midazolam IM lorazepam IM haloperidol IM olanzapine IM promethazine) in terns of rapid tranquilisation, with the aim of reducing agitation (creating a state of calm / de-escalation)?
